Re: Alien Space

Ooh, like this one - an' i scored scored 187,710 on my first game! =-)

The waves within the levels are a bit samey and i'll be honest and admit i was just plugging away without realising i was actually getting somewhere (it's never stopped me before, i used to play budget shoot 'em ups on the 8-bits!) until the boss arrived; it took me by surprise to the point i lost everything except one life! If the levels were shorter and preferably had a bit more variety (more types of attacker that are introduced over time perhaps) i'd adore it, but it's already the sort of thing i'll fire up for twenty minutes of blasting and the bomb and boss explosion are cool, so ta very much for releasing it! =-)

Re: Alien Space

Yeah, at the beginning i was aiming for more variety within the waves. As it workes now enemys only get more shots every 10 waves and even though bullet speed and various stuff change as you go along, it gets very obvius that the game gets more difficult after every boss.

i did some updates for a version 1.1 where i try to get rid of an annoying "homing bullet" bug, but i rather start on something new than do any major changes.

My feeling is that its fun to keep to the basics when creating games, the problem is that everybody has played it before.
