Here's another teaser showing off the randomized enemies. Should get some of you people to drewl a bit, I hope Grin



Here's a teaser for the new features. They're fully functional, but you ain't getting a demo yet grin2

This isn't a game, it's more like a joke. The bullet patterns are randomly generated and they're pretty weird and "crazy". Don't take it seriously or you will end up weeping. It's your worst nightmare come true.

Oh, and I just threw in the "gameplay" in a minute or two. It's not very appealing. You shoot with Z and activate slow motion with X. I will try to make it more playable, but it'll probably be quite hard to do.

This would be cool if you turned off the back buffer refreshing in gm and just drew a transparent black rectangle over the screen. You would have long trails....

Is there a respawn.. thing? Possibly, since its just a "play around game" you should make a reset button, or a respawn button so that you can play it around longer..

Secondly, what method did you use to randomize the patterns?

Nice!...OMG! shocked2 ...I got a great idea for a game using that kind of Bullet Hell and game play.
Are you going develop it further into a casual game?

It's incredibly fast for a curtain fire game but the slow mo is a nice feature.  Could very well be turned into a full fledged shooter.

Yeah, I got some ideas for the game while having a computer free day yesterday, so I'll try to make it more playable.

There is a respawn button in the "demo". Just press Enter Wink

The patterns are randomized by having variables for the aspects that define the bullet's path that. Like speed, gravity, direction shifting, speed increase, bullet stream space, spin speed etc. I think I can come up with some more things to make even more random patterns.

I will also make something cool with the player ship, but I'll wait with telling you guys about that untill I've already added it.

That are some pretty sweet looking patterns although some are impossible to dodge without the slow motion feature.
Now I want to fiddle around with randomized bullet patterns too.

I love your add a part feature really top drawer old gov.
Maybe shots don't effect the enemy when the slow down feature is on....

Finally got some randomized enemies. They look pretty cool, and there's thousands of different variations possible already. I will be adding more parts that they can be built from to make it a lot more random, though.

Here's a title screen. It doesn't have a menu, yet, though Tongue



The flags show what attributes the bullets that the enemy shoot will have... Awesome huh? I wanted to have the game finished on april 1st, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I'll give it a good shot, though.

Damn you!
I had exactly the same idea of proceduraly generated enemies and am actually working on something like that for a minigame right now. :P
Anyway enough with those teasers!
Punch out a demo already! Those teasers make me want to play it ~~

Awesome!  I like the way you build your own ship, it reminds me of Legos.  This looks a lot like Clean Asia, IMO.
