How to subscribe to the forum

Postby monoRAIL » Fri Jul 27, 2012 8:14 am

You can subscribe to all of the forum's new posts by entering http://shmup-dev.com/forum/feed.php in your address bar or you can subscribe to a individual sub-forum by clicking the feed icon next to it in the home page.

Might I suggest adding a standard "rss" or "feed" style icon linking to that to the site's header (perhaps over towards the right) if it's not overly difficult to do so? It would certainly make it more obvious and discoverable.

I'll look into that. The forum is pretty difficult to customize if you go beyond what the theme offers, whereas the wordpress frontpage is easier to edit as more of it is generated by PHP pages than database elements, and I can read the PHP pages :)

Done - there's now a preview of recent forum posts on the right side of the news page, and an RSS icon you can click to subscribe to the entire forum.

Take a look: http://www.shmup-dev.com/

Some more updates... I've added a link to the news page on the forum menu (at the top left) and an rss icon to subscribe to the entire forum feed.
